About the Cyprus company:

In July 2016 Charlie Airlines Ltd, whose main stakeholder is S7 Airlines, won a tender for the right to use the national carrier trademark Cyprus Airways for a decade, and signed the corresponding agreement with the Ministry of Finance of Cyprus. It was announced in March 2017 that the Cyprus Airways had obtained the Air operator certificate from the Cypriot Department of Civil Aviation, which was the start of commercial service for the airline.

The Cypriot airline is based at Larnaca International Airport. During the year 2019, 400.000 passengers travelled to and from Cyprus with Cyprus Airways. The company’s long term goal is to contribute in the increase of tourism in Cyprus, while at the same time broadening the horizon for local travellers.
