Bank of Cyprus Holdings Public Limited Company, which changed its name from Bank of Cyprus Public Company Ltd in January 2017, is the largest and leading banking and financial services group in Cyprus, having significant market shares in various kinds of businesses, including retail and corporate banking services, international banking services, finance, factoring, investment banking, property trading and development, brokerage, fund management, life and general insurance services. 

Through its subsidiaries, Bank of Cyprus Holdings provides financial services and offers its products to individuals, small and medium sized companies as well as corporate customers internationally.

In 2013, the Cyprus group was recapitalised, with capital increase of €1 billion, which made it one of the best capitalised banks in Europe. Also, the Bank of Cyprus is the largest listed company on the CSE in terms of market capitalization. Since October 8, 2007 it has been part of the Cyprus 10 Index, which comprises the 10 largest Cyprus companies.

The Bank is working through 123 branches, 121 of them in Cyprus, 1 in the UK and one in Romania. As part of Bank’s restructuring strategy, the Bank of Cyprus sold its operations in Ukraine, as well as disposed of investments in Romanian Banca Transilvania and certain loans in Serbia.
