The Cyprus Development Bank (CDB) was established in 1963 as a public company to launch economic development in Cyprus. Its main shareholders were the Republic of Cyprus and the European Investment Bank. In 2008, CDB was fully privatized.

Currently the Bank provides commercial banking services, including corporate lending, trade finance, deposits, treasury services, and arrears management for corporates and SMEs. The products offered include international banking services, such as deposit accounts and money transfers; investment banking services which include asset management, brokerage, and financial advisory services.

Also, the group provides personal banking services, including current accounts, deposit accounts, mortgage loans, investment planning, wealth management and transfer code of personal accounts between banks.
